A loan of $950 helped to buy wood, as well as insecticide to care for her fields.

Elita's story

Elita, 35, is a cheerful, hardworking and very enthusiastic woman, who is married to Bartolomé, 40, and they raise their four children with a lot of love. She works to offer them a better quality of life. From the time she was very young she learned how to do things on her own. Little by little she grew up with her work and thus succeeded in getting 50 hectares of land where four years ago she started a very interesting business. She planted cacao seeds and sells the crop to companies that make chocolates. Besides planting this type of product she also grows rice and corn. She does all her work together with her husband and they have a good chemistry between them when they work.

It’s going well although she is aware that she needs much more to achieve her goals that she has set. This will be her 5th loan with MFP. She is very pleased to know that they continue trusting her to be able to increase her capital but she wants to begin another business. She is committed to making all the payments on time as she did with the earlier loans that she received. She will use the 2500 sols that she has requested to buy wood to begin a business of a charcoal factory, besides buying insecticides for the weeds in her fields and fertilizer to improve the quality of the land.
