A loan of $300 helped to buy more animals.

Gregoria's story

In the annex of Pancan, lives Gregoria, a woman of 42 years that formed her family with Hernán, her husband of 3 years. The two have 6 children, the 2 smallest of which they care for at the home of their mother-in-law. She works without rest for the economic living of her family. In festive seasons, that occur in the months of January and February in the city of Jauja, she takes advantage of those months to work in a costume store, where she takes charge of washing the costumes so that they can be rented again. There she obtains extra income, as she is a woman with initiative. During the year she works in the business of buying and selling animals, traditional bread (also called "bread of Juaja") and cheese, in the capital of the country, where she obtains enough money. But as a good woman of the field she also sows corn in the plot that she has and in harvest season she markets it to the wholesale market of her locality where she also sells guinea pigs and chickens that she raises with a lot of effort. Yet this does not supply her needs, even with the multiple activities that she carries out. She belongs to the supportive group called "walking toward the future" and this is her fifth loan with MFP. With its contribution, she hopes to continue with her objectives. She also promises to comply with the payment schedule. It pleases her to be part of their association because all their members are supportive and responsible people. With this support Gregoria will invest the requested money in the purchase of more animals to supply her business.
