A loan of $750 helped to purchase more cows.

Raydee's story

In the hamlet of Huari lives Raydee, a simple woman of 38 years who made a family with Darío, her husband of 22 years. Together they have six children of whom three study in the country's capital and the rest have already started their own families. Together with her husband she figures out how they may send the monthly stipend to their children who study in the capital. Livestock farming is her primary sustenance. For days and weeks they retreat to the heights of their community, called stays, where there are green pastures and wide prairies where they may care for their animals. They have 50 sheep, 12 cows of a good breed, and 28 llamas. They also make use of the milk to produce rich, fresh cheeses which they sell at various shops in their pueblo. But since expenses have risen with the studies of their children, they offer shepherding services to other livestock farmers who are not able to take care of their animals in the stays, who pay them a monthly salary to do it. In this way they are able to earn more income and fulfill the dream of their children.

She belongs to the communal bank "Los Huariñoz" and this is her third loan with MFP where she hopes for your collaboration in order to continue meeting her goals. She promises as well to make her payments once again. Additionally she appreciates being part of her association because all the members are responsible and mutually supportive people. Once she receives her loan Raydee will invest the requested money in the purchase of purebred animals for breeding in order to increase her herd.
