A loan of $350 helped to buy clothes to respond to the large order her customer has made.

Carmen Janeth's story

Carmen has experienced many difficulties in her life. Nevertheless, her desire to get ahead and the quality of being a hard worker have made her overcome these adversities and continue making progress in her life. Carmen is a single mother and head of the family with one child, a three year old. The child’s father never wanted to contribute to his support. Carmen had to support him on her own.

Because Carmen was not employed and was only studying, she had to abandon her studies. She had to find employment that would allow her to generate sufficient income to be able to support her son’s expenses. Carmen then learned the business activity of selling personal products like deodorants, creams, and lotions, among others, and selling clothes. She makes all of these sales through catalogs. Thanks to this she is able to generate income.

The work has served Carmen well because it gives her good income, and it does not require her to be available full time. This allows her to spend time with her son and to be able to take care of him while he is growing up. Thanks to the good service that Carmen offers, her sales have increased more and more. Thanks to this her family is able to enjoy a better quality of life.

She currently has a large clothing order from one of her customers. She needs to buy merchandise from her provider, but she does not have enough money to make this purchase. That is why she hopes that a loan will give her the opportunity to buy clothes to respond to the large order her customer has made.

Carmen hopes that this way she will be able to continue generating enough income to be able to support her son and provide him with what he needs to grow up well. Also, Carmen dreams of having a store where she would be able to offer her products to a larger clientele. This would generate income so that she would be able to enjoy a better quality of life. Carmen wants to offer her son a future, a good education, and financial stability that would allow him to have better opportunities to progress.
