A loan of $800 helped to buy tools so that he can carry out an additional business installing electricity.

Jorge Armando's story

Jorge has been installing gas lines for approximately 12 years. He learned this trade from a family member and it makes him the income he needs to support his household. Jorge is married and has one child who, because of his young age, needs a lot of care and also creates large expenses for his family. For this reason, Jorge is always looking to increase his income so that he can offer his son a good childhood and offer his wife a better quality of life. Jorge is very efficient in his work as a gas installer and he is very well known among his customers. This has meant that he gets very good contracts. However, the business has many times when there isn't much work and Jorge cannot find contracts. This makes it hard for him to make income for his household. With the aim of improving this situation, Jorge has learned how to work as an electricity installer and has been able to diversify his work so that he runs less risk of being unable to make income for his household. Now that he carries out this business well, Jorge would like to buy some work tools. He is looking for a loan that will enable him to buy tools for carrying out his work as an electricity installer. This will give him an additional source of income on top of the money he makes installing gas lines.

Jorge hopes that a lack of income will no longer cause him problems as he is finding a lot of work in this new business. This means he will be able to offer his family a better quality of life and financial stability which will give them more opportunities for making progress.
