Nancy es una persona muy trabajadora y siempre se ha caracterizado por tener un gran carisma y muchas ganas de salir adelante. Nancy se encuentra casada y es madre de 3 hijos a quienes siempre les ha querido brindar lo mejor posible, es por esto que debido a que el sueldo de su esposo no era suficiente para poder cubrir todos los gastos de su hogar, Nancy decidió empezar a trabajar y contribuir con los ingresos de su hogar. Nancy empezó a trabajar en la cafetería de su hermana, y luego de un tiempo esta se la vendió. Nancy lleva aproximadamente 1 año como dueña de la cafetería y gracias a su buen servicio esta ha ido creciendo poco a poco. A menudo, Nancy tiene pedidos de sus clientes que no puede satisfacer, pues el surtido de su cafetería no es muy grande. Con el ánimo de revertir esta situación, de ir creciendo más su cafetería y hacerla más atractiva para sus clientes, Nancy busca un préstamo que le brinde la posibilidad de acceder a la compra de productos para su cafetería como son snack, bebidas, entre otros, y aumentar la variedad de productos que ofrece a sus clientes.

Nancy espera que de esta manera su cafetería siga creciendo y sus ventas se aumenten con el pasar del tiempo, para poder generar más ingresos que en su hogar requieren para gozar de una mejor calidad de vida. This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
