A loan of $750 helped to buy nutritionally-balanced feed with which to fatten her animals.

Martha's story

Martha is 36 years old. She is married and has three children in her care. She lives together with her family in the small village of Palominos, in a rural area of agricultural Tambogrande district. This area has a tropical climate and is noted for its production of fruit such as mangoes and lemons. The area is located in Piura region, five hours from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of Lambayeque region.

For more than three years, Martha has been raising and selling livestock and farmyard birds. She raises these animals in an area behind her home. When they have grown, she offers them for sale. Her husband's business is selling fish and chicken meat from a motorcycle that he uses to travel through their village and surrounding areas. Through their hard work, the couple try to provide for their family financially.

Martha would like to buy nutritionally-balanced feed with which to feed her animals, so that she can fetch a better price for them in the local market. This investment will allow her to continue growing her business and thereby improve her quality of life. In order to achieve her goal, she decided to request a loan for 2,000 soles from Edpyme Alternativa.

Martha has taken out loans through Edpyme Alternativa in the past and has shown herself to be a responsible client who is punctual in making her repayments.
