J Amado Guillermo's story

Amado, age 47, is married and has two children, ages five and three. He lives with his family in the El Paraíso neighborhood, San Pedro Sula.

For 20 years Amado has devoted himself to his business, which is a cabinetmaking shop. He makes all types of things like doors, kitchen furniture, wardrobes, china cabinets, and he also does repairs on these items. He did not have any difficulty establishing this business because his father taught him to work with wood when Amado was a boy. That is how, from then on, he has been able to decently get ahead with his family. He works all day in his business.

Amado has managed to maintain his business with the help of loans. With that help he has been able to buy various machines for his shop and to stock raw material. He is now requesting his second loan to buy materials to make kitchen furniture, wood china cabinets, doors, and other wood furniture.

His is very grateful for the support provided. His goal is to make his business grow and to continue investing in order to get greater income. That way he will contribute more to his household.
