A loan of $600 helped to purchase polyethylene cover for his greenhouse.

Pridon's story

Pridon is 44 years old. He is married and lives in a small village in West Georgia with his family: wife, Nino, and 3-year-old son. The only source of the income for Pridon and Nino’s family is agriculture. They have a small dairy farm with two milk cows. The family sells cheese at the local market. Also, they own a greenhouse where cucumbers and tomatoes are grown. Pridon sells his harvested vegetables locally. The total average monthly income of the family is 400 laris.

Pridon requested credit to purchase a new polyethylene cover for the greenhouse. After purchasing a new cover, as well as fixing some parts of the construction, the greenhouse will maintain the needed temperature. Pridon will be able to bring in a good income and will sell at a convenient price. This will contribute to the sustainability of the family’s income which is mainly used to cover daily expenses for the child and themselves.
