Mopepe Ya Sika Plus Group's story

Mesmin is a chairman of a Community bank named “Mopepe ya sika Plus”, which is composed of 23 microentrepreneurs united in solidarity to receive loans from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC with the goal of developing their businesses. Mesmin is 42 years-old, and single. He runs a telephone booth and is a money changer. He started his business in 1976. With hard work and determination, his business prospered. Mesmin’s business is located in the mid east of the city of Kinshasa. He has already received twice Hope DRCongo’s loans and repaid them correctly. He intends with the next loan to purchase more prepaid cards and increase the inventory in order to reinforce the working capital. He makes $60 profit each week. His dream is to open a transportation enterprise in Kinshasa.
