A loan of $825 helped to buy bundles of clothing.

Constancia's story

Sra. Constancia lives in the District of Pampahasi Alto, which is located 20 minutes from the central part of the city. She lives in her own home along with her husband and a daughter who is of school age. Constancia sells secondhand clothing that she purchases in bundles from the traveling merchants who arrive from the city of Oruro each week. She has a vending post and a store at the July 16th Fair in the city of El Alto that takes place on Thursdays and Sundays. In addition to Constancia’s business, her husband owns a 24-passenger bus that is rented out on a weekly basis. This working vehicle comes with a driver and travels throughout the city of Santa Cruz. Her husband usually drives the vehicle, but he returned it to the city of La Paz since she is expecting the birth of another child at the end of January.

Her greatest wish is to see her children become professionals. This loan will be used to buy new bundles of clothing so that she can increase her operating capital. In the photo, Sra. Constancia is accompanied by her husband.
