Flavio Antonio

Flavio hopes that his earnings will be considerably increased and that he will be able to improve his wife and children's quality of life. Furthermore, Flavio hopes that his children will have access to a high-quality education and better opportunities for economic progress.

Flavio es una persona muy trabajadora que siempre ha buscado alternativas para brindarles a su esposa y sus 2 hijos una mejor calidad de vida. Flavio anteriormente trabajaba como empleado público, sin embargo, una reestructuración suprimió su cargo y quedó desempleado. Desde entonces, Flavio montó una papelería con su liquidación y pudo así seguir generando los ingresos para su hogar. Hace ya aproximadamente 6 años desde que Flavio tomó esta decisión, y desde entonces sigue trabajando fuertemente con el ánimo de sacar su negocio adelante y con el ánimo de ofrecerle a su familia cada vez una mejor calidad de vida. Gracias a que es inicio de temporada escolar Flavio aumenta sus ventas en su negocio, sin embargo, por falta de capital su negocio no esta muy bien surtido para afrontar la temporada. Es por esto que Flavio busca un préstamo que le brinde la oportunidad de acceder a la compra de productos de papelería como cuadernos, cartulinas, libros, lapiceros, entre otros, y afrontar con buen surtido el inicio de la temporada escolar.

This loan is structured on Kiva as a bullet loan, which means a single payment is required at the end of the loan term. By Colombian law, Kiva's partner Interactuar is required to offer borrowers loans with a variable interest rate that fluctuates with the market rate. Because fixed monthly payments are applied first to interest and then to principal, Interactuar is unable to predict upfront what portion of each repayment would go towards the loan principal. This creates a challenge with Kiva's system, which doesn't allow for unpredictable principal payments, and can result in some Interactuar clients appearing falsely delinquent. To remedy this, the loan has an end-of-term repayment plan on Kiva, but the borrower will continue scheduled monthly repayments to Interactuar, who will then pass along the principal amount to Kiva lenders. This means that you may see repayments made on this loan throughout the repayment term, as opposed to receiving repayment in full at the end of the loan term.
