A loan of $2,275 helped a member to buy ingredients for making hamburgers.

Los Amigasos Group's story

The "Los Amigasos" communal bank is in its first loan cycle, and is made up of eight members; seven of whom are women and one a man. They live in Torno, in the community of Espejos. They all have businesses: selling food, selling cosmetics, providing services. Currently, Gabriela is in the position of president of the communal bank. She sells fast food, and has been in this business for a year. The loan will be earmarked for increasing her working capital, through purchasing cooking supplies such as potatoes, cooking oil, and meat. She isn't married, but lives with Eduardo and has a 5-month-old child. Her husband is a bricklayer, and works from the early hours of the morning. The members are very grateful to our institution for having trusted them, and provided them support to be able to prosper in their businesses and activities.
