Tumaini has operated a charcoal selling business for the past one year; she sells her products from home to her neighbors and the local area villagers. She faces a major challenge of transportation. She aspires to expand her business.
With the Kshs 20,000 she wants to purchase 15 sacks of charcoal for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access funds to expand her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
