Mavi's story

33-year-old Mavi is a hard-working woman. In addition to being friendly and cordial and really desiring to progress, she is separated from her children’s father and lives with them in her father’s home. Mavi’s business is selling spare parts for motorcycles for which she has a coveted space in her brother’s body shop where she can provide customers with the spare parts to fix their motorcycles. This body shop has been located in her father’s home for the last five years. She takes care of the sales and her brother provides the servicing in the workshop. She likes her business as it generates a regular income to pay the household expenses as well as allowing her to have an occupation, in addition to seeing a business opportunity in the ease of providing the spare parts to her brother’s workshop. Seeing that she makes adequate profits, she has plans to venture into another business like selling second-hand clothing. This will be her second loan with MFP, so she expects to have their collaboration to continue with her objectives. She is also comfortable with her communal bank since she considers it a united and supportive group. With the amount solicited, 800 new Peruvian soles, she will invest in the purchase of spare motorcycle parts to stock up her business.
