A loan of $825 helped to buy fertilizer and to pay someone to plow the land for planting.

Rosa Margarita's story

Sra. Rosa is 63 years old, married and lives with her husband and two grandchildren. Since she was a girl she has been engaged in agricultural activities and was taught by her parents. She, together with her husband, has cultivated corn for several years. She is also raising two grandchildren and wants them to be good people. Thus, she and her husband make sacrifices day after day. She gets up at 4:30 a.m. to milk her cows and then goes to work in her fields which are five kilometers from her house. Later, she returns home to prepare lunch for her grandchildren who arrive from school and to dedicate time to them.

Rosa has to travel by bus to a city 45 minutes away to buy supplies.

She is requesting a loan to buy fertilizer and to pay someone to till the soil for planting. With this investment, she will be able to earn more and buy more cows to increase her production of milk to sell. Rosa wants her grandchildren to have a good education, to be able to support themselves and to be good people.
