A loan of $1,200 helped to buy five young bulls to pasture.

Selvin Heraldo's story

Señor Selvin is 29 years old. He lives with his life companion and one daughter. He has been involved in agricultural activities for 20 years. it was from his parents that he learned to plant beans and carry out other agricultural tasks.

What he wants most is to offer his family a better place to live, since they live in a house made of laminate (sheets of metal or other material). For this, he sacrifices every day. He gets up at 4:00 am to milk and feed his animals, then he goes out to work all day on his parcels of land, which are seven kilometers from where he lives.

Selvin has to travel to buy items such as seeds and fertilizers in a city that is 60 minutes from his home by bus.

He is applying for a loan to buy five young bulls to pasture, since after the harvest the stubble will remain for the livestock. He says that this investment will be a great help, since he will be able to obtain better earnings and he can let the best female calves grow into cows. In this way he will increase the production of milk, since he will sell some and leave the rest to give sustenance to his family.

Selvin dreams of constructing a worthy house for his family and offering a good education to his children.
