A loan of $1,175 helped to buy stationary products to sell.

Celedonia's story

Celedonia, 47, has been married to Francisco for 25 years. He works as a mason, and they live together in the community of Mazahua. They have 2 children - the oldest is 15 and no longer in school, and the younger daughter is 6 and in primary school.

Celedonia sells stationary products. She says that like many other people, she has been affected by constant price increases, and there are seasons when she doesn't have many customers. She has been a client of Frac for 5 cycles now and has seen great benefits, in large part due to the loans at times when she needed to stock her stationary store.

On this occasion she is asking for a loan to buy merchandise to stock her store, like notebooks, maps, erasers, pencils, colored pencils, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, games, graph paper and poster board. Every time that she gets a loan, she goes to town to stock up on merchandise at an affordable price so that she can sell it in her town and make her money back. She owns her store, and would like to make it larger.

Celedonia knows that this loan will help her to improve her sales and she knows that she's capable of overcoming the challenges that present themselves, like a lack of customers, price increases, etc. She knows that with this loan she will be able to grow her two-year-old business and give her family a better life.
