Nazca, Peru / Metal Shop

A loan of $750 helped to buy tools and to build a well.

Jonny Angel's story

Jonny, 37, works all day doing metal work to help his wife pay expenses for what they need not only for their home but for their two young children, the oldest who is 14 and the youngest who is just 4. He also rents out rooms in the city of Ica which is where they have their business and their home. This city has been progressively developing economically which allows for better quality of life for people living in this arid, hot city. Jonny enjoys playing soccer with his children and friends in his free time and after the games enjoys very much eating the very delicious “Carapulcra,” a traditional dish from the city of Chincha.

He is aware that his business is producing good results because of the great dedication he puts into his work but he also knows that customers are more demanding every day and in order to continue to satisfy all their needs he’s noticed that he needs to get some supplies and this is why Jonny hopes that Kiva lenders can help him so that he can buy new and improved tools he needs as well as to build a well he needs for his daily work. Jonny knows that only by putting much from his part into it will he reach the dreams and objectives that he has both personally and for his small family which supports him very much.
