Crisanta's story

Crisanta, is 62 years old and a hardworking woman. She lives with Alejandro, her husband of 45 years. They both have 8 children, but only live with 3 of them: Maycol, Rosy and Yandery. They care for them in their own home, located in the community next to Hualahoyo. Many years ago, she worked in agriculture, and there she learned to work and not give up. She was always independent, since her husband worked in a mine and would come home every two weeks. After time she finished raising her children and concentrated on getting her own business. That is why 4 years ago she opened her own food store where she sells meat, vegetables, milk and other products. She is very well known in her neighborhood. With her husband's retirement, they started to work in the business of sweaters. They bought the machines to knit with and began working in that business The make an average of 3 sweaters a day and they constantly get orders from customers in other cities. Now she is calm, because in her old age she has a financial income she can live on, while continuing to raise her animals. She has good quality guinea pigs and hens which she eats and sells when she needs to. She belongs to the “Nueva Esperanza” support group and this is her second loan with MFP. She hopes for a small loan to be able to meet her goals. She also promises to make her payments as she dis with the previous loan. She also likes being a part of the association because all of the members are responsible and supportive. If Crisanta gets your support, she will invest the money she has asked for in buying basic necessity products to stock her store.
