A loan of $1,125 helped to buy school supplies.

William's story

William has a stationery and general provisions business in the city of Bogotá where he lives with his wife and three children between the ages of 13 and 21. He started his business seven years ago with a store selling snack foods and specific foods. He was gradually adding stationery items, and with that he managed to generate enough income for his family’s well-being.

However, he needs to make it grow even more because his children are growing, and he wants to give them a higher education that will empower their successful future.

His biggest challenge is achieving the family dream of prosperity. Facing the gradual increase in customers, he does not have enough capital to respond to this demand. That is why he turns to a Kiva loan, his first loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. He will use it to buy school supplies because the school season is approaching. He needs to have the appropriate stock for this season. He will take advantage of the great commercial roll-out in order to sell more, increase his income, and guarantee success in his investment.
