Deddeh's story

Deddeh lives in Barnesville. She is forty-one years old, single, and has two children aged eighteen and twenty-three years old. Both of them are in school and live at home.

For the past five years now she has been operating a grocery shop where she sells tooth paste, bath and washing soap, rice, sardines and many other items. She started this business with money that she received from her mother and she learned how to run it from her friends. One of the challenges she faces is transporting goods to her shop. She is requesting a loan to purchase more goods including toothpaste, rice, bath and washing soap, rice, sardines, mayonnaise and many other items for her business. Her plan is to expand her business and to obtain a university degree.
