A loan of $1,000 helped to pay the monthly tuition fees for her nursing degree.

Maria Lisdiana's story

Maria Lisdiana is 25 years old and lives with her family in a community in Guanacaste Province. The economy in the Guanacaste area is based principally on cattle raising, although both farming and hydroponics are practiced.

Maria Lisdiana has been studying nursing for several years. Her desire is to graduate as soon as possible so that she can offer her knowledge and service in some clinic or hospital in the community.

At this time Maria Lisdiana wants to request a loan of 500,000 colones to pay the monthly tuition fees in order to finish her nursing degree. She loves this career and wants both to help her family with the income she will acquire when she begins working and also her community as much as she can.

Maria Lisdian is a member of the Empresa de Crédito Comunal de Guaitil, S.A. (Guaitil Community Credit Company). This is her first loan and she is very grateful for the opportunity to have access to credit so that she will be able to carry out her life’s plans.
