Sop Mame Diarra Bousso Group's story

Solidarity Group Sop Mame Diarra Bousso was established on September 21, 2010. It is made up of twelve women from the same village. They got united by bonds of kinship and neighborhood, and are all merchants.

Oumy, standing on the right in the photograph, is responsible for the group. She's 25 years old, married, and the mother of two children. In addition, she also has to support one of her cousin's children.

She retails clothes, such as embroidered "pagnes" (colorful African cloth), pearl necklaces, and vegetables. With her loan, she will bolster her business.

Her profits will enable her to support her husband in taking care of the family, and to provide for her own personal needs.
