A loan of $575 helped to maintain his vehicle.

Carlos Alberto's story

Carlos Alberto lives in the city of Ica, a city known for its warm climate in any season of the year. It is also known for its agriculture, especially for the grape, asparagus, and butter bean harvests that have generated a lot of jobs because currently they are exported to different countries in the world, and for being the birthplace of the national liquor of our country, pisco.

Carlos works transporting passengers in a motorcycle taxi through the streets of the city. He dedicates about ten hours a day to his business and he can serve up to 50 customers daily. During the holidays he can work all day without stopping and earn a little bit more, Carlos tells us. He believes that it is going well for him in his business because he is very charismatic and above all honest and respectful with the customers.

Carlos thanks the Kiva lenders very much because, thanks to the support offered, he will be able to do general maintenance on his vehicle. With this he will have more security in the operation of the vehicle and, above all, will safeguard the security of his customers. This improvement will allow him to have greater income and he will be able to continue saving to be able to realize his biggest dream: "To have his own house."
