Julio's story

Julio is 44 years old. He is a man that always likes to face the circumstances that are in front of him head on, and in this way he has been able to get ahead. He lives with his partner, Ruth, who is 29 years old, and with whom he has three children: Carol, who is 14 years old, Shesira, who is 12 years old and Abel who is 4 years old. They all live together in the home they own. On a daily basis Julio goes to the port of the city to look for products to buy, to resell to his customers. He arrives at the port at 4 a.m. and waits patiently for the farmers to arrive. When the boats arrive he buys the products he prefers like rice, yucca and corn, which all have high demand in the market. For the past five years he has done this activity, which has allowed him to be confident in meeting the needs of his family. He always works alone and on a few occasions has had the help of his partner. He is thankful that things are going very well and that he has good customers that come to him daily because of the high quality of products he offers. He hopes to continue working in this way and in the future open his own store to sell his products from, in a more calm manner. This will be his sixth loan with the institution of MFP. He is eager to have the support that allows him to continue working and increase his working capital. With the money he is requesting of 3000 soles, he is going to buy products to continue his business and serve his customers well.
