A loan of $1,125 helped to buy fruit and vegetables direct from farmers.

Ludmir's story

Ludmir is a hardworking, enterprising, and friendly man. He is married to 34-year old Liz and they have two young children, Perla aged 8 and Yadira aged 5. They are what motivate him to work hard. Starting early in the morning Ludmir goes off to buy vegetables while they are fresh and then sells them to his customers from his stall which is located in a small market near his home. He sells cilantro, celery, pumpkin, chilies, turnips, as well as lots of other vegetables and bananas.

Ludmir has been doing this work for ten years. He works alone although from time to time he gets somewhat tired; however he knows it is always good to see the income he brings in. He hopes to continue with this work and gradually grow the business as he wishes to provide a better standard of living for his family.

This will be Ludmir’s tenth loan with MFP. He has always been known in his group as a punctual person. He is happy to have this opportunity to be able to invest in his business and is sure that he will continue making the repayments on time, just as he has always done.

Ludmir will use the S/.3,000 loan to travel out to farms in search of fresh produce at cheaper prices and to pay for transportation.
