Sokim, 34, is married with three school-aged children. She and her family reside in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. Sokim and her husband have been involved in a successful agricultural business for over five years and have extensive experience growing rice and vegetables to sell. In addition, her husband is a fisherman.
In order to improve her family economy, Sokim is requesting a loan of USD 800 to begin a new business by purchasing groceries to sell from home. By doing this, she would generate more income to support the family. In the future, she plans to purchase rice to store in a warehouse for resale later when the price is higher. Moreover, she hopes to support her children in their studies until they get their Bachelors' degrees.
