A loan of $400 helped to stock the business with food products like dairy products, rice, beans and soft drinks.

Maria De Jesus's story

María de Jesús, age 36, is a single mother, and she has a one year old child. She lives in the Suyapa neighborhood of Santa Cruz, Yojoa.

María has looked for a means to generate her own income in order to cover her basic needs. She sells food products like rice, beans, churros, canned goods, juices, bread, dairy products, soft drinks, and others. She started two years ago through her own efforts. She now has her business better stocked. She takes care of her customers all day.

In order to keep her business better stocked she is requesting this loan for 7,500 lempiras. She will use the loan to buy dairy products, beans, rice, churros, and soft drinks.

Her aim is to continue working, to increase inventory in order to sell more, and to get income to help her support the family.
