A loan of $1,400 helped to purchase livestock.

Kaiyrzat's story

Kaiyrzat is 33 years old, married and has three preschool children. Her family's primary business is fattening up and reselling livestock. This business, started in 2001 with an initial sum of 10,000 som (KGS), today yields about 5,000 som (KGS) per month. Currently, Kaiyrzat's business contains four dairy cows, two horses and 35 sheep. In order to further increase livestock headcount, Kaiyrzat requested a loan in the sum of 65,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum and Partners" company to purchase additional livestock. This will allow her to expand her business and increase livestock headcount; thus, making the best, in her opinion, capital investment.
