Caridad's story

Caridad is a 56-year-old, married woman from Tabid, Misamis Occidental. Caridad and her husband have five children.

To earn a living, Caridad operates a fishing business. Caridad explains that she has been engaged in this business for ten years and that she typically earns approximately 5,000 PHP per month from these activities.

In 2009, Caridad joined GDMPC to gain much-needed access to financial services. Caridad is now requesting a loan in the amount of 10,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional fishing equipment such as hooks and nets. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business as a result of the loan to further improve her family's general living conditions.
