A loan of $300 helped to buy basic staple items to stock her store.

Amalia's story

Amalia, 37, is a hardworking, dedicated, determined woman who very much wants to get ahead. She lives with Carlos who is car driver. They have five children and they all live together in their own house.

The activity she started is grocery sales; she opened a store at home because she saw the experience friends in the same business had and she noticed that it was profitable. Now, what she most wants is to put everything she has into it to make progress.

She enjoys what she does because it’s more tranquil and without much effort is profitable. Besides, it allows her to have time to dedicate to her children.

This will be MFP loan #1 and she’s hoping for your collaboration to continue with her objectives. She’s comfortable in her communal bank because she’s observed that it’s a united, cooperative group that has accomplished quite a bit among themselves. She will use the requested 800 new soles to invest in the business buying products at wholesale to stock her store.
