Antonia's story

Antonia is 48 years old and a hardworker. She lives with Moisés, her husband of 16 years. They have 6 children, 3 of whom live with them in their own home, located in in the community of Hualahoyo. She feels lucky to have her husband's support. He helps her every time he can. Their activity is farming. While her husband works as a laborer, she takes care of 8 cows and 3 bulls. She extracts the milk the cows produce and sells it to the residents of her community. Her secret is planting her own alfalfa and feeding her animals with it, but she always offers them balanced feed and vitamins to keep them strong and producing good milk. At the same time, she also plants corn and potatoes on rented land. At harvest time, she sells them to wholesalers who seek the corn that only she knows how to grow. She wants to buy her own land and rely only o herself. She belongs to the "Barrio Oriental" community bank. This is her tenth loan with MFP, and she is very happy to know that she will have financial support, since this way she feels sure she can get ahead in her work. On the other hand, she promises to make her payments. She likes being a part of her association because all of the members are responsible and supportive. If Antonia receives your support, she will invest the money she has asked for in buying more animals and balanced feed to give them.
