A loan of $1,100 helped to buy 2 oxen.

Jose Elias's story

Jose has been a simple farmer since he was very young and is committed to working in agriculture. He lives in the region of El Rosario, located in Pueblo Nuevo, city of Estelí. He is 32 years old and the father of a young son who goes to school. He works planting basic grains along with his father. Beans and corn are highly demanded. He is using the loan to buy two oxen to help him prepare the land to plant the seeds. In fact, one of his goals is to sow one block of beans and one block of corn. He hopes that it will be a very good quality harvest that will help him to cover the costs of production and allows him to reinvest in his business.
