Eliander's story

Elianer is 30 years old; he lives with his family in a neighborhood called Las Bonitas de Platanares, located in Pérez Zeledón, province of San Jose. This is an area that mostly deals with farming and stockbreeding; the people in the region are mostly coffee producers and cattle raisers. Elianer has the support of his family to keep his project alive since it is very interesting for him and he has seen it grow little by little as demand grew each time and the neighbors are satisfied with the service he provides them.

Don Elianer needs a loan of ¢500,000 (five hundred thousand colones), to buy elegant and casual clothing for his store named, Elianer. This loan will allow him to have better income when he sells the items in his community.

Elianer is a member of the Communal Bank “the Pretty Ones” one of 150 member organizations of EDESA in Costa Rica. This is his first loan and hopes to grow more in a personal and financial level. Elianer remarks that thanks to these types of organizations and loan assistance he is able to have more time to embark on productive activities and have access to more information and loans since with banks it is very difficult.
