A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a greater quantity of animals to re-sell and to butcher.

Darwin Alexis's story

Darwin is 25 years old. He lives with his life's companion and his son. He is a fighter and a hard worker with values and principles.

Darwin buys and sells cattle and butchers animals to later sell the meat. He learned this business as a child because his parents have done these activities for many years and he realized that it is a prosperous and productive business.

He buys the products he needs in the nearby cantons and also travels many kilometers in bus. The cattle are brought to his house. When he butchers the cattle, he has to transport the meat on his back for a kilometer and a half since transportation in his area is very scarce. He buys and sells animals whether they be pigs or cows, re-selling them once a week and butchering twice a week. He sells the meat at a sales spot.

Darwin is asking for the loan to buy a larger quantity of animals to be able to expand his business even more and have better income. This way, he will have a better profit margin and be able to buy more animals to sell.

He wants to buy his own house with this income, since he, his wife and his baby live in his parents' house. He also wants to buy a vehicle to transport his merchandise from his house to where he sells it and thus obtain better income to offer his family what they need.
