Shakhawan's story

Shakhawan is a 31 year old Iraqi man; he is married with two children. Since 2008 he has been the owner of a small shop which sells small kitchen appliances and all kinds of small items needed for the kitchen, such as pots, plastic containers, utensils and many more handy items for the household. Shakhawan applied for and received a loan in the amount of $3000 from Relief International Iraq, which he intends to use for the renewal of his store making sure the little business can receive a needed refresh to look a little friendlier and more appealing for his customers. The well-located store will surely continue to attract the locals, making the business a successful income generator for the young family.
