Heak, 31, is married and resides with her husband and three school-age children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, an area which is well known for its historical tourism sites (ancient temples: Angkor Wat, Bayon, Banteay Srey……).
She has been running a business of renting mats for tourists for over two years. Her husband is a construction worker. In order improve her family livelihood, Heak is requesting for a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase a motorbike for her husband to commute to work. In the future, she would like to run a grocery store at home to generate extra income to support the family. In addition, she plans to buy a plot of land to build a house.
