A loan of $575 helped to buy manure and fertilizer.

Marleny's story

Marleny, 33, is a widow. She lives in her own house along with her three children, who are the reason for all her efforts. Marleny has spent the majority of her life in her beloved town of Samaniato, located in Cusco province. When she was very young she learned the family work, which is why she is now such an expert on agricultural work.

It was very difficult for her to bear the loss of her beloved husband, and she only had to look ahead and work for her beloved daughter. On her plot of land she cultivates cacao and coffee plants, which continue giving her the necessary income to support herself and cover the education expenses of her beloved children.

What she likes most about her job is planting her lands, and she does it with a lot of care. She has been doing this work for five years and she considers the hardest part to be transporting her products, because cargo trucks are very scarce in this part of the jungle region.

This is her first loan with MFP and she feels very happy to know that she will receive more help from the lenders, because in this way she will feel secure about buying what she requested. She is willing to return the scheduled payments punctually.

With the 1,500 PEN she will buy manure and fertilizer to improve her crops.
