Uriel's story

Uriel, age 29, is a responsible father. He lives with Ángel, his young son who he care for in his own home in the town of Sicaya. Uriel knows that he must work diligently in order to help his son get ahead. Every morning, he cares for his corn and carrot crops. After each harvest, he sells his products at a well-known market in the capital where he visits frequently. Thanks to his work, Uriel was able to acquire a hectare of farmland. He also rents four parcels of additional land throughout the year. In addition, Uriel works for a company as a heavy machine operator and earns a considerable amount of money. He is saving because he wants to use the money to buy his own tractor and be able to work independently. Since his son is still young, he is able to save more easily.

Uriel is a member of the of the San Miguel solidarity group. This is his third loan with MFP and he hopes to receive cooperation so that he can move forward with his plans. As a result, he promises to complete his loan payments. In addition, Uriel is pleased to be part of his group because all of the members are responsible and support individuals. With the assistance he will receive, Uriel will invest in the purchase of natural fertilizers that will be applied on his crop of carrots.
