A loan of $375 helped purchase tools to help her husband's welding business.

Felicita's story

Felicita is 49 and a hardworking woman. She lives with Sebastian, her husband of 25 years. They have 7 children, but only 4 of them live at home. They own their house, located in the Justicia Paz y Vida human settlement.

She is an optimist, despite the fact that she is ill and cannot walk well. She used to work in park and garden cleaning programs and path and trail construction promoted by the government. From that work, she would receive a monthly salary that helped her support her family that she cares for and loves deeply. She knows that she will return to work; she is a fighter and is recovering successfully. For the moment, she supports herself by selling food out of her home on festival days, as well as selling vegetables in her city’s market.

Her husband works as a welder in a locksmith’s shop, where they pay him at the end of every week. Since she is a skillful woman, she convinced her husband to work for himself in a shop in their home, where he can carry out the work he has learned. This is her second loan with MFP, and she hopes that they can achieve their plans through this collaboration. She commits to making her loan payments. In addition, she is thankful to be part of the association because all the members are responsible and united. Felicita will invest the loan in tools for her husband’s work.
