A loan of $2,800 helped to purchase rice seeds.

Khaliskan's story

Khaliskan is 48 years old, married, and has raised two children. 26 years ago, Khaliskan began farming - growing rice and raising livestock - with an initial sum of 50,000 som (KGS). Today, she earns 20,000 som (KGS) per month from sales of meat and dairy products. Khaliskan usually sells rice in the fall, which brings her a good profit. She has used her revenues to build a house for her family.

In order to continue expanding her business, Khaliskan has turned to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 130,000 som (KGS) in order to purchase seeds of a particular variety of rice, which is in high demand. She is planning to use profits from this loan to further grow her business and also to purchase a car for her family.
