Doren is from Calamba, Misamis Occidental. Doren is 36 years old. Doren is married and has four children. To make a living, Doren owns and operates a cafeteria business, selling and cooking foods in the local community. Doren sells it in her cafeteria to "suki" eaters (regular customers). Doren has been engaged in her business for over six years and earns approximately 5,000 PHP a month from these activities. Doren is requesting a loan of 8,000 PHP, which will be used as additional capital for her cafeteria like kitchen utensils and food ingredients such as vegetables and fork, chicken or beef. In Doren joined GDMPC to seek financial assistance as additional investment in her business. She plans to use the income generated to expand her business and save a portion of it for her future and for her children.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
