Olga Carmen's story

Olga is a 50-year-old woman. She has two children ages 19 and 12, whom she has raised with her partner. Olga, like a good Peruvian housewife, loves Peruvian food. One of her favourite dishes is Carapulcra. Doris studied until the fifth grade of secondary school, because her parents did not have enough resources. She would have liked to study economics. Olga has one car. Because she does not know how to drive, her husband works with the car. He works about eight hours per day, serving up to 30 clients. Because Olga's goal is to support her partner with their costs, she works on an estate. This way, they both contribute to paying the household costs and buying the basic staples. Olga thinks that the business is going very well for her husband because he is very kind to the customers, and he is very honest. Olga is very grateful to the Kiva lenders, since thanks to your help she and her partner will be able to perform vehicle maintenance and repair some issues. This will improve their income, because they will have a vehicle in good condition and the clients will feel more secure. She will continue to save up in order to fulfill her greatest dream: "To allow my children to become professionals."
