A loan of $575 helped to buy seasonal women's sandals.

Alexander Invierno's story

Alexander is a 27 year old man. He has a small home in a very, very modest location. In order to make a living, he sells sandals in the city market. He has had this business for approximately one year. In order get to where he is now, he has had to do a lot of things; for example, working in a restaurant, being a construction bricklayer, and working on farms.
He knew that in order to get ahead he had to forge ahead for himself. For this reason he took advantage of his skills as a vendor and became independent in order to make his own income without depending on anyone else. He knows that an education is the best source of personal and professional development; so he wants to study business administration sometime.
When Alexander started selling sandals, none of it came easy. He knew nothing about the business, made bad purchases and chose less than ideal sizes. However, with the experience that he has gained along the way, he learned the best buying methods. He now wants a loan of 1,500 soles to purchase different and exclusive types of women's sandals. His dream is to have a much larger business and to be able to study what he wants; this way he will improve as a vendor and a businessman.
