Santos Francisco's story

Santos Francisco, 35, is married and has six children who are 15, 13, 11, 9 and 7 years old and one that is 5 months old. He lives in the village of San Pedro, Intibucá. Santos has spent his entire life farming but for the last three years has been farming his own plot of potatoes and another parcel of strawberries. What he produces he sells in the local market.

He’s asking for a 20000 Lempira loan to buy fertilizer and farm supplies to provide better technical assistance to his crops attaining pest control so that he can produce a better harvest. All of this effort and dedication is in order to earn income to cover education and food costs for his children and to provide his family with a better standard of living.
