A loan of $125 helped to purchase sacks of charcoal and firewood for resale.

Mwanaisha's story

Mwanaisha is a married woman with seven children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that neither has electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees.

For the past two years, she has operated a charcoal selling business, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her place of operation. Mwanaisha dreams of establishing a wholesale shop in the future.

With the Kshs 10,000 she wants to purchase sacks of charcoal for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
