A loan of $600 helped to buy women and men sandals.

Madeleine's story

This customer is 38 years old, single, and mother to a 22-year-old. She retails sandals and other items on her stand in a local market. She already benefited from a first loan, which she repaid without defaulting. She gets her supplies from the great markets in the capital city and twice made a trip to Kinshasa to procure additional stocks. Her daily sales vary between 20,000 and 45,000 FCFA, and she understands the importance of saving resolutely. With the current loan, she will purchase an assortment of sandals for men, women, and children. She wants to increase her stocks and to have a model display where all qualities of sandals are available. Her only son attends university and she is planning on supporting him throughout his education.
