A loan of $325 helped to purchase ingredients to make food.

Lorena's story

Lorena is a humble and a hard-working woman who makes a living selling traditional Mexican dishes like green enchiladas, empanadas and soups. She tells us that what she enjoys most about her business is cooking and providing good service to her customers. She has been happily married to Betoldino, who makes a living as a construction worker, for the past three years. She is requesting the loan to purchase ingredients to make her dishes: chili peppers, onion, garlic, tomatoes, chicken and tortillas. She has two children, a son and a daughter whom she loves and for whom she and her husband work for every day. She thanks Kiva and its partners for helping poor families.
