Jorge's story

Jorge is a hard-working and entrepreneurial man who has a great desire to do well in life. He is single and lives together with his mother, brother, sister-in-law and nephew. They all live together in his mother's house. Jorge's business is selling broiler chickens. He has a mobile stand where he prepares his potatoes and fried chicken. He sets up his stand in front of his house every evening and there he serves his customers in a very kind manner. He started this business two years ago and, up to now, he has had his mother's help in preparing the food and serving his customers. Jorge likes his business because it gives him an income and a job. He is currently finishing his studies in computing and is using his profits to pay for his studies. He also supports his mother with the household expenses. Right now, Jorge is saving up so that, in the future, he can set up his own computer repair business and consider himself an accomplished professional.

This will be Jorge's fourth loan from MFP. He feels grateful for the financial support which enables him to carry out his plans. Jorge feels happy with his community bank as he knows the other members and considers them to be responsible people. He will invest his 2,500 soles in buying utensils for his business and ingredients, which he plans to buy wholesale. He will also buy tables and chairs.
